A performance of "And I Am Telling You" by the ORIGINAL Effie, Ms. Jennifer Holliday. She blows away almost anyone else in modern times with this performance, securing herself a rightful place amongst this era's greats (Aretha, Whitney, Ella, Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughn, Mahalia Jackson). From the 1982 Tony Awards, where she won the award for Best Actress for her creation and portrayal of Effie in the then-breakout smash musical "Dreamgirls." The scene and preceding song lead up to "And I Am Telling You," which begins at around 3.25, but the whole scene is an invaluable look at what Jennifer Holliday was really made of (And she's only 21 here?!?) And to think she performed this EVERY night for TWO YEARS straight... Wow. Let's see Whitney, Christina, Mariah, or anyone else do that!

This is Veteran Singer-Songwriter, Don Mclean, giving the audience a little humor and performing his hit "Vincent" live with his backing band in Spring 2007. Shot & Edited by Mia Johnson

A Slide Show Double Tribute to Vincent van Gogh and Don McLean. (portuguese subtitled) For a version without subtitles refer to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5OtK_sP6_fM Um Slide Show em homenagem a Vincent van Gogh e Don McLean. (legendas em português) Vincent - Don McLean Starry, starry night Paint your palette blue and gray Look out on a summer's day With eyes that know the darkness in my soul Shadows on the hills Sketch the trees and the daffodils Catch the breeze and the winter chills In colors on the snowy linen land Now I understand What you tried to say to me How you suffered for your sanity How you tried to set them free They would not listen they did not know how Perhaps they'll listen now Starry, starry night Flaming flowers that brightly blaze Swirling clouds in violet haze Reflecting Vincent's eyes of China blue Colors changing hue Morning fields of amber grain Weathered faces lined in pain Are soothed beneath the artist's loving hand Now I understand What you tried to say to me How you suffered for your sanity How you tried to set them free They would not listen they did not know how Perhaps they'll listen now For they could not love you But still your love was true And when no hope was left in sight On that starry, starry night You took your life as lovers often do But I could have told you Vincent This world was never meant for one as beautiful as you Starry, starry night Portraits hung in empty halls Frameless heads on nameless walls With eyes that watch the world and can't forget Like the strangers that you've met The ragged men in ragged clothes A silver thorn on a bloody rose Lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow Now I think I know What you tried to say to me How you suffered for your sanity How you tried to set them free They would not listen they're not listening still Perhaps they never will

My mom introduced me to a song that was dedicated to Vincent Van Gogh... I became inspired to put together a small slideshow of some of his works. ----- And yes, I made this. I keep getting PMs asking for the person who made it, when the person who made it is the one you're PMing. Thank you.

Buy a copy of this SACD/CD at: http://www.pipeorgancds.com/vidususocdat.html Vincent Dubois has performed in many countries throughout Europe as well as the USA. He won the Recital Gold Medal at the 2002 Royal Bank Calgary International Organ Festival and Competition, and most recently, the 1st Grand Prix in the 2002 International Competition of Toulouse. Mr. Dubois currently teaches harmony and counterpoint at Angers National Conservatory where in 2005 he was appointed assistant-manager of the conservatory. He is also the titular organist at the Cathedral of Soissons. Mr. Dubois was invited by Daniel Roth, titular organist of St. Sulpice in Paris, to make a recording for JAV Recordings on the 1862 Cavaille-Coll Organ. This instrument is one of the great French builder's masterpieces which comes down to us as the builder left it. This disc will include organ music of Lizst, Duruflé, Rachmaninoff, Mozart and an improvisation by Mr. Dubois. It was recorded on May 13, 2006 and will be available in SACD surround sound in 2007. This film was made late on the evening of May 11, 2006 at St. Sulpice. I took a cab across Paris and met Michel Goussu (organ curator of St. Sulpice) at the back door around 10pm. Vincent was practicing Franz Liszt's Evocation of the Sistine Chapel. They practiced while I took lots of photos, and before midnight I filmed my video which contains the Liszt and the first movement of Widor's 6th Organ Symphony.

Responding to Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, Vincent Bugliosi shows evidence of the administration lying about WMD and has Steve King looking like his head is going to explode trying to get him to stop during the House Judiciary Committee hearing on the constitutional limits of executive power. He makes the point very well that a country having WMD's is not a reason to go to war, but instead whether a country is an eminent threat, and that the CIA said that even if he had WMD, Saddam would not have been a threat to the US.
