The Blackburn Buccaneer was designed as a long-range carrier-based attack aircraft. It entered RAF service in July 1962, and retired in 1992, during which time it remained one of the fastest low-level aircraft. The Buccanner featured many novel and inovative design features; a variable incidence tail-plane, area ruled fuselage, rotating internal bomb-bay and wing boundary-Layer control. In addition to conventional ordnance, in 1965 the Buccaneer was type-approved for nuclear weapons delivery i.e. the Red Beard and WE177 bombs. All nuclear weapons were carried internally. AEL Larissa from Greece wins Blackburn Rovers from England 2-0 for the first round of uefa cup 2007-2008....(Bakayoko 33', Cleyton 35') (20-09-2007) Η ΑΕΛ νικάει την Μπλάκμπερν για το πρώτο γύρο του Ουέφα με 2-0 και βάζει τις βάσεις για πρόκριση σε ομίλους.... Ένα ευχαριστώ στους οπαδούς όλων των ομάδων για τα συγχαρητήρια στην ΑΕΛΑΡΑ και ένα μεγάλο μπράβο στις Ελληνικές ομάδες που έκαναν στις 20 Σεπτεμβρίου στο κύπελλο Ουέφα το 5 στα 5!!! RESPONSE FOR MOUNOPANOTHEGREAT There are one ore two exceptions but the majority of Blackburn fans was very kind with AEL Larissa.I appreciate that and it is an honour for us and for them too of course. Read the comments of some fans of Blackburn....... cant believe that larissa finished 10th in their league!! the only reason they are in it is because if winning their cup We finished 9th and didn't win any cups... crap. all that ra-ra to finishing 10th and getting into inter-toto are all undone by that nightmarish night in Greece For years I've been switching the channel, turning off the volume or just not daring to look whenever scores or some news about the Turkish championship were displayed. I guess I'll have to start doing the same with the Greek one... And to top it up I have a colleague at work and her name is...Larissa!! Imagine how my heart will sink every time I hear someone calling her!!! I went down tonight and took my niece, after she begged to go. Very decent attendance and for me the atmosphere was excellent all the game through - though we were sat in the Darren End, next to the (admittedly brilliant) Larissa supporters. They barely stopped to breathe all game and appeared to act impeccibly. Also our drummers could learn a thing or two from their guy, he was pretty ace too. Those Greeks are a very good team and their manager got his tactics right, shame ours didn't! credit to larissa tho, everytime they attacked they looked good... Georgios Donis, well done for puzzling together a team like that. You cant knock him for his accomplishments. Promotions, beating Panathinaikos in the Cup final last year, and now pitting a PremierShip side, and coming out on top, is no easy task! Well done their supporters for coming out and supporting Larissa too! Great turn out! Credit to their fans for singing all the way through. To the young Rovers fans who were in the Jack Walker Lower Right Hand sections, it's all well and good gesticulating and giving their fans two fingers, do you think they're bothered? They've just beaten a Premiership side, you just looked juvenile, but then again you are, you'll learn hopefully. I was impressed with Larissa. They may be rated lowly, but they were tight and solid in defence, could maintain possession through midfield and always carried a threat up front. When they had possession we had to work very hard to get the ball back. When we had possession, we just gave it away. Good luck to Larissa, by far the better team over the two legs, fully deserve to go through and hats off to their fans, they never shut up. Well Played Larissa is all i will say..Good luck to you guys, i hope you go on and win the competition !

Τα καλύτερα στιγμιότυπα του ιστορικού πλέον αγώνα για την ΑΕΛ στο Μπλάκμπερν με τη Μπλάκμπερν Ρόβερς...... (σε περιγραφή Κώστα Καπάταη) Αυτή η Λάρισα άξιζε να προκριθεί. Οχι μόνο για την εικόνα της στο εντός έδρας παιχνίδι. Η ΑΕΛ με την απόδοσή της μέσα στην Αγγλία απέδειξε πως πρέπει την Τρίτη το όνομά της να βρίσκεται ανάμεσα στις υπόλοιπες ομάδες για την κλήρωση των ομίλων του Κυπέλλου ΟΥΕΦΑ. Η πρόκρισή της είναι πανάξια. Αν εξαιρέσουμε τις δύο ατυχείς στιγμές, η Λάρισα στάθηκε στο ύψος των περιστάσεων. Ουσιαστικά στα δύο γκολ όλη η ομάδα αδράνησε. Στο πρώτο γκολ η αδράνεια είναι του Κοτσόλη και στο δεύτερο συνολικά της άμυνας. Κι όμως, έστω κι αν έκανε δύο λάθη, που σε τέτοιο επίπεδο δεν συγχωρούνται, η Λάρισα προκρίθηκε. Προκρίθηκε διότι οι «βυσσινί» έλεγξαν το παιχνίδι. Προσπαθούσαν να κρατήσουν τον ρυθμό του αγώνα. Ο Δώνης έδειξε πως διάβασε σωστά τον αγώνα. Από το πρώτο μέχρι το τελευταίο λεπτό. Φυσικά, μόνο του αυτό δεν φτάνει. Πρέπει να το πιστέψεις κιόλας. Οι παίκτες της Λάρισας το πίστεψαν. Πήγαιναν πρώτοι στην μπάλα, έβαζαν τα πόδια τους στη φωτιά, δεν μπήκαν φοβισμένα και στο τέλος δικαίως πανηγύρισαν με την ψυχή τους. Ο Κλέιτον έκανε πολλή δουλειά στο κέντρο. Κρατούσε την μπάλα, έδινε ανάσες και φυσικά είναι ο άνθρωπος που πέτυχε το «χρυσό» γκολ. Χρωστούσε ακόμα ένα γκολ στους Αγγλους, μια και στο πρώτο παιχνίδι βρέθηκε μόνος του και έστειλε την μπάλα πάνω στον Φρίντελ. Πολύ καλός και ο Φωτάκης. Ο Μπακαγιόκο διένυσε πολλά χιλιόμετρα και πίεσε τα αντίπαλα στόπερ. Ολοι οι παίκτες ήταν εξαιρετικοί. Μαγκιά τους. Ας το χαρούν. Το αξίζουν!
